Pipeline pigging

After completing the welding of the main body of newly built pipeline, water injection, pressure test, pigging, drying, replacement and some other working procedures shall be executed, and the pipeline shall be put into use after all these working procedures passing the acceptance inspection. After being operated for a long time, wax, soft dirt, iron oxide and other debris will generally accumulate on the internal wall of the oil and gas pipeline, which will influence the transportation capacity and reduce the service life of the pipeline.

Periodical pipeline pigging can enhance the pipe transport efficiency, reduce the frictional resistance loss, reduce the corrosion of pipe inwall, and extend the service life of pipeline.
